I think they might be showing us what gw2 will be like where everyone is capable of healing. Should be fun and interesting

Regen is not affected by the flux.
Also, http://www.teamquitter.com/viewtopic...420838#p420838
Oddly enough, despite saying "gain health," Healing Signet does seem to be affected.

The Flux has many funny properties attached to it. As a general rule, heals that occur upon completion of a skill are affected while heals that happen later are not. Patient Spirit, last I knew, breaks this rule and is affected.

If Wastrel's mesmers in JQ weren't bad enough, add a 200+ heal from ether feast and you might as well just resign.
I also am pretty sure lifestealing and anything that is labeled "gain health" or "steal health" is not effected by this.

This is just another proof that Anet is completely focused on GW2 and doesn't care about GW1 anymore.
Yay, lets make monks even more useless since they won't exist in GW2 anyway!

Sorry A-net, but this flux is just.....
Like someone above me said, with the latest fluxes ur trying to let us see what will be going on in GW2 ; don't.
This will have a huge impact on GvG this month, many more split builds.

second this. on another note, i believe there is a cap for reduced healing, does this add to the cap, or act separately?

This flux seems fine, although it's going to promote linebacking to hell..
Side note: did they made this flux especially so it has exactly 0 effect in rollerbeetle and dragon arena ?

I personally dont think a 20% heal reduction makes monks any worse off to be honest. In most situations monks are over healing significantly anyway.
The 20% reduction will be more noticeable from a party healing perspective, thus affecting rits more than monks imo, although the game seems to have moved away from triple melee/big pressure, and settled into a more balanced meta where teams do not rely solely on the rit being there in order to survive.
The biggest concern will be split mesmers. Already the most problematic profession by far, now they are potentially unkillable with an enormous buff on ether feast as a result of the flux.

In HA and GvG yes that is correct. But you have to think about the other arenas. In RA and Codex it makes the monks job at least twice as hard. For me it looks like the Anet is trying to get monks as usable as paragons are right now and change the players' mindset to GW2.
Also, flux does not affect life spirit, so I don't see how it affects rits other than kaolai skill.
